how do i pass an interview on a job i ve no experience about?

Honestly, you have to have failures before you can have success. Thank God I watched this video, what a revelation. I missed the part about not having money to pay your bills and living on the street.
By the way, not all people learn from their mistakes,because some can't recognize the fact that they are making mistakes. If you want to give people advice, then tell them to focus on what they are good at, what are their natural talents and how could they leverage those to help a company get the results they are trying to achieve.
The other problem is that we need to understand that there are many employers who are inept at recruitment and selection, there is nothing you can do to help that, so don't waste your time and move on. Your best bet is to ensure that all the people in your network are aware of your situation, stay in touch with them. At the end of the day, you will be lucky if anyone reaches out to you, we live in a very "me" society, so don't wait for the phone to ring, develop a strategy that will encourage people to show interest in you.

Well, let's not confuse experience with ability, but let's not confuse what the company is looking for, if you don't meet their criteria and you don't have a contact in the organization, stop wasting your time, focus on the work that suits your skills.
Resumes are critical.......
Resumes are nothing more than knocking on someones door and having them answer it, they see what your selling and are willing to speak to you. Resumes are only door openers, however, you have to get the door open to have a conversation. Focus on what you accomplished with each employer, show them the results you are able to achieve.
The person with the job security issue:
Get a coach or mentor, ensure you get specific feedback on what you need to do to change your current situation. Be realistic, if you don't believe you can't meet the expectations, then determine whether it's time to leave the position or the company. We are all suited for the jobs we have in the companies we work in, it's like a marriage, sometimes one or both parties want out.

It's important to be conscientious with basic details in your work...like spelling errors. If you have a computer, use the spell-check feature. Even if your English skills are not great this automated featured in your word processing program can make a big difference. Good luck!

I'm looking for a job in healthcare. I'm a BSNRN with a certification in wound, ostomy & continence care. I was geared up knowing my work expertise were excellent. I filled many out many online applications & sent my resume' in. I never received any replies. This caused me to become depressedGoing through tons of old paper. Found a joke- a Walmart greeter always can to work late, he was wonderful worker but the manager had to talk to him about this. He said, Sam you are wonderful on the job & all like you but there is an issue. When you were in the military & late in the morning what would they say to you. Sam thought & said, Good morning Sarg. Hope your day is wonderful. Well you can see why I take so long to pack, I get distracted. Hugs. . I then devoted to move back to home town but was delayed. I want to understand how these online resumes work to not be thrown out by a computer. I was told to use key words that we'd you'd in the job description. Why have not been called.

I think this conversation is lacking on many levels. Paying bills, purchasing health insurance and the like keep me frustrated. i have advanced degrees and have had substantial poor luck search for a job. I have 10 years of federal emplihment and am searching for another federal position. I have had frank conversations with HR people who tell that of course age discrimination reduces of is peventing me from getting the position.

Taking risks are important but pragmatic logical steps are also critically important. Let's not make these uncomfortable circumstances trival.

The sole purpose of the resume is to get the interview. Leave out the dates. Cite specific positive accomplishments in each job you had. No more than one page unless applying for upper management. Use pictures ( not of yourself but of your work). Resume reader gives you about six seconds so if you have some "wow" factors you live longer. Quantify as much as possible.

After reading a few of these questions, my thought is that if your resume looks like these notes, with misspelled words, things that make no sense, poor grammar and English, there is your problem. No, I'm not an English teacher or English major. I have been a business owner though, and if someone turned in a resume that looked like some of these notes, I'd reject them immediately. Proof-read your resume and your letters. Have someone else read it and see if it makes sense. Proof-read your comments too. Anyone who looks at some of these things will think you are dumber than you really are, and will not give you a second look.

Really, what happened along the way of learning as technology became a substitute for reading, writing and math fundamentals. It seems most adults in the early and even mid stages of their careers are best suited for jobs that require marginal interpersonal skills, stunted creative thought capabilities, and allow for endless corner of the room keyboarding activities.

I went on an interview on February 10, 2014. I thought the interview went really well. They said that they were looking to fill the position really soon. I sent a Thank You for the interview letter 2days after. I sent a follow up letter on February 19, 2014. I received a phone call from HR on February 24, 2014 stating that no decision has been made at this time and to call if I have any questions. (she left a number to call her back)

I'm wondering what the next step for me would be. Should I call, should I wait or should I assume that they went with another candidate. I have not received a decline letter at this point so I'm thinking that maybe they are still considering me for the position? Not sure what to do at this point.

I currently work for a major retail chain and I'm seeking a career. My current title is Department Manager/Operations Manager. The career/field I love and that I'm really good is clerical/admin/personal assistant/receptionist. I have experience with answering phones and so forth and filing paperwork and everything else that comes along with this field. I have been with my current employer almost 8 years. I'm not sure how many times my resume has been changed. What would your suggestion be?
